Can you help me with this picture? It was taken last june on the estonian island of Hiiumaa, among sand dunes. Thanks

Sweet Briar? A rose of some sort anyway.

Any more photos?- it maybe Rosa rugosa which is naturalised there + often in dunes.

It certainly looks like R. rugosa in that pic - perhaps the leaves have been buried by shifting sand?

I would agree with a sand-covered Japanese Rose (Rosa rugosa).
