Greetings,

I was scanning a seasonal lake by the expressway by Bishoftu/Debre Zeit on Oct 30. I had already seen a low flying Eurasian Marsh Harrier and thought I was seeing another one in the distance until I got the binoculars on it. It was very dark and its tail did not seem long enough. But it was quite far away as you can see by the heavily cropped photos. Knowing my prowess with brown raptors, it will probably end up being a kite, but can you please let me know what you think?

I think you can see the cream crown and throat markings of an immature/female type Marsh harrier in 2023b.
