Greece this summer perhaps (1 Viewer)

Hi all, it seems that I might be in Greece this summer, and although it will mostly be a family holiday, I will try to fit in as much birding as possible. We are looking at a hotel in Kassandra, on the east coast. I have only seen a small amount of information on the internet, but I have seen that there are 2 wetlands about 45-50 minutes away but I am unsure if we would be going to them or not. Any information about this area would be greatly appreciated. This is the area where we might be staying.

People seem to have done a bit of birding at the nearby sewage works, which seems to get a few things:

A little bit further away (35 minutes), Sani Wetland seems decent:

If you can get further afield, the wetlands around Thessaloniki or Kerkini are very good.

Thank you for the links Andrew, I did see Sani Wetlands nearby, but I think it will be a case of just looking around the hotel.
