Hello from CA Bay Area - Local Hawk Nest Under Threat Need Advice (1 Viewer)

Hi all. Brand new to this and will be looking for the right forum after I say hello. From Oakland/Emeryville California area. My community has a park that has had a pair of red tails nesting coming on four years in a very large Eucalyptus. The city that leases the Park wants to take out the trees to put up, ironically, a plastic tree shaped play area. Parents have lobbied to remove the trees so limbs don't fall on their children. A number of local people plan to attend the city planning meeting to voice our concerns, but having a local expert would really help. Any ideas on which forum will be best to find an interested local ornithologist?
