Hi folks. I am from Western Canada, thus the handle - WesternGuy (original eh?)|:D|

I am retired and photography is my full time hobby. I shoot just about anything but people, not that I don't like people, I am just not good at photographing them. My favourite subject is flowers. I also enjoy photographing landscapes, wildlife, especially birds, macro and I am just getting into infrared photography. Being retired, I travel a bit for my photography having been to such exotic places such as Africa, Alaska (yup it can be considered exotic), Death Valley and the Galapagos Islands. A sample of my imagery can be found on my Flickr site https://www.flickr.com/photos/westernguy/sets/ and I publish a blog on things that interest me on a semi-regular basis - http://photowestguy.wordpress.com/. I look forward to participation in this site.
