Is it just here in the Midlands or is there a distinctive lack of hirrundines all over Britain so far this year. Belvide, Chasewater, Blithfield, Gailey all seem to be reporting well below average numbers for the time of year.

Any similar observations on your patch?

Hirrundines in County Durham have all arrived early this spring but in small numbers.
