Hovering fly - South Africa (1 Viewer)

I have just started taking an interest in Macro photography.
I noticed this fly hovering in mixed bushveld in the Lowveld area of South Africa.
It landed a few times and then starting hovering again.
Any ideas?

a beefly, Bombyliidae, but SA is well outside my area of study so cannot name further.
