Hi
Can anyone please advise on information to birding sites in Cyprus from 20th Sep - 3rd Oct we are staying in the Paphos area and will have a vehicle so can get around
I have seen the information on Cyprus on this forum and also been on Cyprus Birding Wedsite but wondered if anyone can give specific details regarding migrating and residential species for this time period.

Thanks for any info given

hi debbie,
you will get some first class birding at paphos headland check anything that moves you will get a few surprises especially around the lighthouse, next drive north to coral bay at the top end of the bay there are some ruins they are good for larks and wagtails check out the banana plantations further north is akamas anywhere in that area is good, south from paphos is limassol the beach at akrotiri is ladies mile beach and zakaki marsh at the start is good for waders and flamingoes, check out the pools next to the fruit shop at phassouri a taste of things to come, let me know how you got on.

Take a trip to Northern Cyprus, lovely people, loads of birds, interesting place and you get lots of good sites to yourself.

The Dipkarpaz area is superb, though may be a little far for you unless you plan to stay overnight .
