January 1st joint Birdforum list (2024 edition) (1 Viewer)

Not sure if I can add too many to the UK list. Have these been seen?

Nothing yet from the U.S.? I got up very late, up all night consoling the dog from the local explosions. I can start with the usual yard birds. Please remind me, is it better to add birds with new posts, or go back and add to the original list?

Chestnut backed Chickadee
Red-breasted Nuthatch
Song Sparrow Fox Sparrow
House Sparrow
Golden crowned Sparrow
White crowned Sparrow
Anna's Hummingbird

Ended with 54, with some really common species missing. It was going so well until the rain came...

I think Fulmer, Guillemot and Razorbill are the only ones I saw that haven't been reported for the UK yet.

If you're in Europe, please don't be put off posting something that has been seen in the UK but not in your country - we'll be doing separate UK and "rest of Europe" totals.

It's much easier for me if you make a new post with the additional species. Once I start to get the spreadsheet caught up, which hasn't started yet, there's a risk I may miss something that's added to a post I've already looked at.
Oh sorry, thought it would be the other way round LOL!!! So I've edited my first post (again ;) to delete the additions and I'll put them in this one

Scotland (if you keeping separate lists)

At last: Coal Tit

Can I put Mistlethrush (heard)

Ooooh A Great Tit arrived.... they're not an everyday visitor to my garden

Robin
