Juvenile Merganser? New Jersey - Morris County (Troy Meadows Wetlands) (1 Viewer)

Well-known member
Beak shape and a bit of a crest made me think of merganser (common, red breasted, hooded?), maybe juvenile.
But doesn't seem convincing..
Your opinion?
