Large 'White-headed' Gull - Henan China (1 Viewer)

A friend in Henan China has just photographed this gull, and would like assistance with the ID.

My view is that it is probably a 'Heuglin's' Gull, due to inner primary pattern, suspended moult, head pattern and general jizz. My friend was wondering about Slaty-backed, but it doesn't seem right for that species to me.

I am not a gull expert, so any advice on the ID would be highly appreciated.

I will leave it to the expert BFers here but you can put your bird and these side by side:
A 4CY Heuglin's would be my entry in observations recorder.

cheers,
Gerben
