I have just got a used apo televid 77
The problem is that the 2 different transmission ratio wheels will not move separately?
Also It will not focus at all.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated

Welcome to birdforum. From memory, I don't think that the two wheels move independently on the old televid, they are just geared differently. The focusing mechanism works from a band (again from memory!) so it is possible that it has slipped and needs to be fixed. Depending on which country you are in, there is likely to be a repair shop who may be able to help.

Hi,
Thank you for your comments.

That sounds very plausible.

I’m in the UK at the moment so I will look out for a Leica Optics dealer in the Birmingham area.

Thanks again for your thoughts.
