I found this little cutie this morning , well actually my dog found it , she was gently picking it up in her mouth , I thought that she had found some leftover takeaway someone had left behind so I told her to drop it ( she had just got her mouth round it ) and when she left it and moved away I saw what it was she was picking up . It was rather wet and raining at the time but I realise that to touch it would mean the mother abandoning it so I left it be , although it is right on the edge of our playing field where plenty of people walk their dogs and next to the football pitch . I went back about 6.30pm to see if it was Ok , and took these photos as a record . The dog that found it is the one as my avatar !!

Great find! A lot of the hares near me are still boxing and mating. Yours obviously got down to it a lot earlier.

We found one here in Cumbria on the 17th of March and it was probably a week old by then.
