Lions Park, Sai Kung Can someone help me with identifying this. Merlin seems a bit uncertain but thinks it's a Taiga Flycatcher. Many more shots ba (1 Viewer)

If it's a book from back when was I was alive, it would be red-breasted flycatcher. But taxonomy moves forward - or, rather, changes...

Red-throated Flycatcher is the alternative name for Taiga today, widely used in Hong Kong (hence the suggestion to check the book for Red-throated as opposed to Red-breasted)
 
There's 'is' and there's 'was'. A given book can be from either period - thus good to check for both options.
