marie b's 2008 list; Thailand and elsewhere (1 Viewer)

This will be my first posting of a year list (only just joined last June) in an attempt to bring order to my birding by actually maintaining a year list in one spot! As of the end of January, I have only covered my local (home) patch (rather patchily) which consists of a rather large older housing subdivision containing ponds, park, drainage canals, & lots of trees, and extends over the boundary walls into marshy scrub area; in addition I have taken a brief celebratory 44th anniversary trip with my spouse to INDIA -- Kaziranga (4 days birding) and Guwahati (conference). LIFERS are indicated in bold. * indicates a different race of a previously noted species (so deduct one).

During the year I expect to cover as much of Thailand as possible, bits of the U.S., some Malaysia, hopefully some Myanmar, and wherever else I can get to. Jan 01 ~ 08 & post-21st listings are in the order seen.
