Marrakech in March (1 Viewer)

Hi.
I am going to have a few days in Marrakech in mid March and wonder if anyone knows any good parks for birds in or very near the city.
We will do a day trip up to the mountains but I am wondering mainly about the city itself.

I don't know anyone who has birded 'in' Marrakech. Most people go up to the ski resort at Oukaimeden for Crimson-winged Finch and Temminck's Horned Lark, we had Levaillant's Green Woodpecker on the way up the mountain and Alpine Chough is very common up there.

I agree with Andy, if you can try to visit Oukaimeden or Ourika Valley. Have a look at this similar question, he had a fantastic trip.

Regarding the lark, I am sure you mean the Atlas Horned Lark not Temminck's Lark.

p.s.
I don’t understand why many birders still call the African Crimson-winged Finch (Rhodopechys alienus) just “Crimson-winged Finch”. The species was split from the Asian species since many years now (I blogged about it back in 2011 when the split was first accepted by the IOC Checklist).

it's not universally accepted e.g. Howard and Moore still lump the African and Asian birds.
I am just about the only birder i know who follows this checklist so for me although i will hopefully get a tick when i visit Oukaimeden in April, i would not get an extra tick if i saw Asian Crimson-winged Finch in Turkey..
