Went for a walk in the Ouse Valley Park today and was quite surprised when the dog startled a Little Egret - haven't seen one of those since we lived on Anglesey :)

They are getting more common in MK and even breed here now, I used to get at least 1 but up to 3 in the ouse valley area of Wolverton. Willen often has one as do a few other sites.

Just remember to check any reed beds for Bittern, the tongwell bird is back and there were a good few others around last year (including Walton, Caldecotte and linford).
