More Lesvos bird casualties (1 Viewer)

Hi Steve.

Report the incident to the police in Athens or Thessaloniki not to the local office/station. They will not bother to do anything about it locally. It also needs to be copied as high up as you can go, even the government spokesperson/minister. Greece is a small country and it will get noticed.

Hi Steve
You can also try the Hunting federation http://http://www.ksellas.gr/rythmapofasi_1_en.asp there is a link at the top to "Hunting federation guards" I have emailed them in the past [link also at the top] but have never received a reply.

The local police will do nothing as Pan said. The Hellenic Ornithological Society does not have the clout of the RSPB [only 500 members I think] but they will help where possible .

Illegal hunting seems to have gotten really big this year we have had it fairly quiet on Crete until this autumn...
Cheers
ColD

Thanks fort the info Pan and ColD. I'm also taking this up within the tourist dept via Lesvos and Athens. The tourist dept seem to understand they have something to lose.
