Mystery bird of prey - south-west Ontario (2 Viewers)

On my backyard trailcam this afternoon. the cam only snapped one blurry pic. I zoomed in on the first pic, you can see the full pic for scale in the second. Maybe a red-tailed hawk? - but my friend thought it was a Great Horned Owl (I did find a GHO feather in the backyard a few days ago, and I know they do roost at night here sometimes. . Anyway terrible pic quality, but does anyone know what this mystery bird is? thx!

ah maybe you're right. maybe this whole bird of prey angle is wrong - lol. i just thought the feather patterns looked like owl or hawk, but i'm a rookie for bird id

Actually there's no pattern at all: what looks like bars across the flight-feathers of the right wing is really the splayed-out primaries of the left wing.

You are right Butty, there is nothing in the primaries, but attached is how I see the picture ... and end at mourning dove ...
