I am a backyard birder. About four years ago I came out of the hospital and was sitting in my garden and noticed that there was no bird song. So I though that I'd put out a bird feeder. A cheapy with sunflower seeds. By the end of the summer I had 12 feeders of all kinds and some with some hefty price tags. I had so many feathered friends that would wait as I filled the feeders. I had an entire system in my garage with food storage for every type of food for my birds. I can't believe that I fell into this so easily. I got myself some bird baths for my friends and invited all kinds of birds into my yard.
So now I am preparing to move from the US to Ecuador and getting the equipment I need here, to take with me.
I am looking for other experiences and recommendations for binoculars, bird cams etc. I'd like to set up my own live feed with my backyard birds in South America.
Thanks for letting me join.

Welcome aboard Bluehound and yes, birding can become quite addictive to all of us. You are in for quite a list of new birds in Ecuador so enjoy and take pictures and post them for us to see ;)
