(New World) Warblers ID help, Toronto (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Please help IDing these warblers I saw today (21st Aug) in Toronto. I believe 5-9 would be Cape May warblers in varying plumages. I was wondering if 1-4 are also Cape May Warblers.

Hi Ajay,

All appear to be Cape May Warblers with the exception of 2, which looks better for Pine due to the diffuse underpart streaking and prominent whitish wing-bars.

2 was what I was doubtful about the most too..Was thinking it could be a Magnolia..

I agree that all except #2 are Cape May Warbler. My thought for #2 is magnolia warbler.

I had considered Magnolia for 2 but there's no hint of an eye ring and the mantle looks fairly plain, but yes, could definitely be a poorly marked Maggy.

I went with Magnolia on #2 as well, about as plain as it gets for them, but I suspect the grainy image is taking away patterns as well.
