Old Opticron scope AA64-60s (1 Viewer)

Can anyone please help with any information on this model, AA64-60S .it's on ebay and i'm thinking of bidding, but have no idea what it's worth, or if it's worth having. It looks old. Would I be better off saving for a more recent model? Mark.

According to our technical service guys, this was/is a very capable scope provided it's in good condition. It is also known as the HR 60 - there are some other threads on here about that scope.

Check if it has imperial or metric thread for the eyepiece as that will determine how easy it is to get hold of alternative eyepieces.

Cheers, Pete

I had had one for years, it is a capable scope, it is restricted a bit by its 60mm objective but it is as good as a modern 60mm scope. If it is in good conditon!

I don't know what price it is on eBay but I brought mine secondhand in a proper auction about 8 years ago for £110.
