Optics Stocking Stuffer Ideas (2 Viewers)

Since the holidays are right around the corner I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread about optics "Stocking Stuffers". My thoughts were focused around inexpensive optics items that might be of interest to forum members to give to family and friends. There have been a few inexpensive purchases I have made recently that would qualify in this area:

The little Olympus 7x21 PC classic: $25

http://www.amazon.com/Olympus-7X21-...OYU2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1322745407&sr=8-1

Carson 7x21 Miniscout: $25

Orion 20x50 spotting scope: $50

http://www.telescope.com/Telescopes...t-Spotting-Scope/pc/-1/c/1/sc/16/p/101465.uts

I think all of these offer very good optical performance for the price. They are relatively inexpensive and they might serve as handy little optics for folks that don't have any and/or for young/new birders. Maybe some of the inexpensive monoculars would fit into this category but I don't have any experience with them at this point so cannot suggest any.

Do any of the rest of you have any suggestions for stocking stuffers for the holidays?

Generic Black Rapid type strap

These straps are the same general idea as the Black Rapid straps. They are a sling strap with a tripod socket connection. They work great on Canon IS bins and should work well on spotting scopes. There is a tripod socket on the bottom of the tripod mounting screw, so you can mount it between a spotting scope and a quick release plate or shoulder stock.

They are amazingly cheap at $8.96 with free shipping. The quality is decent. The shoulder pad is 3" wide and 13" long and made of neoprene.

Thanks!

Strap is indeed a great deal and an excellent add on to another gift idea.

The BAR-nocular! Apparently extensive market research indicates this is an ideal product for poro users...

The soon to be released Scope-Flask and the Three-Man-Tripod-Hookah are in the final stages of product testing at college campuses and birding seminars.

Hunters and air traffic controllers have also expressed great intrest in these products.

I recently bought several inexpensive compact binocs to try out and perhaps give as a gift. I'd wager that the optics on the BARnocular are a significant improvement over a few of these compacts. !!

In a pinch it could be used for lens cleaning fluid!

On 2nd thought a lens cleaning kid would be a good stocking stuffer too.
