Please help with ID for bird in Costa Rica (1 Viewer)

Hi, all. We just returned from Costa Rica. I've been having fun identifying everything we saw there but am stumped on one. Hoping for some help. This pic was taken on a night hike on July 25 at Rainmaker Rain Forest, near Quepos. Any thoughts? Thanks, Caig

I would suggest female Blue-crowned Manakin.

Yes, looks like what used to be Blue-crowned has been split into Velvety (Central America) and Blue-capped (South America).

And this very nicely demonstrates that the range is no where near Costa Rica in what is now Lepidothrix coronata.
