Prague & German/Czech border area (1 Viewer)

Next August I shall be spending four days in Wehlen, Germany, which is in an area apparently known as 'Saxon Switzerland' between Dresden and the Czech Republic border, plus a few hours in Prague travelling there and back.

I have not been to either of these places before and wonder if any interesting birds can be found there. Unfortunately, I shall have limited birding opportunities in both cases but I'm hoping that, armed with some 'where to see birds' info, I can go directly to one or two good birding spots within the short time I shall have available at each place.

Many thanks in advance.

Praguei is too beautiful a city to waste time on birding, especially if it is only a short visit. However if you carry your camera or binoculars with you all the time, you might see something.

Not really knowledgable of the birds in Prague but when I was there, I found the park near the metronome a good site. Of course it was February so the birds would be different to August but there were a few Hawfinches, Waxwings and Woodpeckers.
