Question about robins (1 Viewer)

Hello everyone,

I am a huge bird lover from NH and have been watching them in my yard all spring. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed robins to be a particularly observant bird? I see them sitting in the same place for a long period of time (sometimes up to 30 mins), just looking at their surroundings. I love watching them do it, and I'm curious if they are especially prone to doing this.

I have noticed this as well and it appears that it is mostly during nesting time and I just assume the parent is keeping watch.
