I was out in the snow the other day and observed a raven rolling around on the ground with its legs in the air.
At first I thought I'd come across bird flu.
I think it was actually rolling on something (possible sheep fleece or dead rabbit), sort of like how a dog might do if it came across a nice (i.e., horrible) smelling dead thing.
The bird might also have been rolling in the snow (i.e., bath).
The videos don't show the rolling but do show the object the bird was rolling on.
I wonder if anyone has an explanation for this behaviour?
Thanks
