Hi. I'm recently, like, last week, retired. About a month ago my son recently upgraded his photography equipment, and he gave me his old camera, a Nikon 7200, and a couple of lenses. He's an outstanding bird photographer, and he deliberately gave me his old equipment to get me hooked on photographing birds, too. It's worked. I have a question about a bird that I photographed yesterday, I'll post it in the ID Help section. This time of year, there's not a lot of unusual birds to photograph in the lower Hudson region of New York state, but the spring bird migration will be starting soon, and I'm sure I'll have a lot of other requests for ID help. Looking forward to getting to know people on this forum.

Hi there and a warm welcome to you from those of us on BirdForum ;)

As a seventh generation New Yorker (now Myrtle Beach) you've got yourself in a fine section for seeing lots of birds :)

Hi gsimonel and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. I do hope we'll be able to see some of your pictures in the Gallery!

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

Hello Gsimonel,

I live along the Hudson, but farther south. There are a lot members who are happy to help with identifications and other questions regarding bird watching.

Stay safe,
Arthur
