Hello!

I could take pics of this one at North Beach, 2013 03 26. I reported it to euring, but probably someone here is interested in it?

Am I right that this is a LBBG?

cheers!

Looks like LBB Gull to me and the ring is definitely Norwegian. It will be interesting to see where in Norway it was ringed as most LBBs there are intermedius and I did not realise they migrated through Israel.

Steve

Only the 4th confirmed intermedius LBBGull for Israel was a ringed bird seen at Ashdod on March 29th, black ring JE9H which had been rung in Norway.

I noted a black rung LBBGull with the Baltic Gulls at the IBRC saltpans a week ago but was unable to read the ring but appeared to be an adult. Perhaps more of this form are in Israel this spring.

This bird is certainly not a GBBGull and give the upper-parts tone would be inclined to lean towards a graellsii/intermedius.
