Sandpiper - Panjin, Liaoning, China (1 Viewer)

Checking out the local marsh and encountered several of these for which I'm not making a successful ID. Managed to get good photo and at first thought of Common or Green Sandpiper, but the birds in flight had a clear, distinct, fanned out, bright pure white tail marking and gray color on legs.

It's the prominent square white rump contrasting with all-dark wings that you notice. Common sandpiper is obvious by its wing-pattern and flight-action.
 
Green Sandpiper for me too.

The first returning birds have already arrived back in Hong Kong Owen
