Seattle - Good Birdwatching Spots? (2 Viewers)

Hi All,

I am going to be taking a trip up to the Seattle area next month (Feb.) Does anyone know of any good birdwatching spots either in Seattle or nearby, or of any bird species specific to the area?

All help is greatly appreciated. :t:

Thanks!

Check out Seattle Audubon: http://www.birdweb.org/birdweb/index.aspx.

From Washington Audubon, order the Great Washington State Birding Trail Puget Loop map: http://wa.audubon.org/puget-loop.

In the immediate Seattle area, among my own favorite spots are Union Bay Natural Area and Magnuson Park in Seattle, Birding Trail stops #2 and #3, and Juanita Bay Park in Kirkland, stop #10. All are wetlands and shorelines alive with waterfowl. Farther afield but worth the trip is Nisqually National Wildlife Area, the restored delta of the Nisqually River, stop # - oh, although on Puget Sound, Nisqually is oddly #1 in the Olympic loop.

Enjoy.
