Sharp-Shin or Cooper Hawks? Canada-Alberta (Sept '16) (1 Viewer)

I have read that the difference between the two is the shape of the tail feathers - rounded for the Cooper's Hawk and square for the Sharp-chinned Hawk. Still can't decided if these are round or square.

Note that these are three different birds, taken in different locations, different days.

thanks, Brenda

Thanks for 1 and 2. For 3, since you indicated doubt through your question mark I am attaching another photo of the same with the head turned somewhat.

Still not sure. There's just not enough showing IMO for a definite ID. Let's see what others have to say. . ..
