I saw this bird in our local park today. It was jumping around in the bottom of some bushes along the canal, not quite as big as a robin. When I first saw it I thought oriole but the brownish head has me confused. The belly was also not a bright orange. Could it be a juvenile baltimore oriole?

Thank you!

It is an oriole. I never go further with those things without looking at a book...
For Eastern North America, ID of female orioles is really quite easy. There are only two species, Orchard and Baltimore, which are very different shapes. Also female Orchard is quite yellow-green, while female Baltimore is quite orange.
