Looking for a second set of eyes on a sandpiper. I got a short video through the spotting scope. I apologize for the quality. It is larger than the spotted sandpipers that were also present. Bill is straight and slender. Back is dark with a white spot pattern, not the same pattern you’d see on other sandpipers like a pectoral sandpiper. It has a white eye ring. Legs are not yellow, they are darker. What is throwing me here is there are a few of them together, not solitary. The guide books I consulted indicate it is uncommon to see them in groups during migration.
