Luc the Whiny Wind Boy
Comic Artist
Hi, I'm an artist but I mainly do graphic novels instead of birds... but I have a few things here...

This is a chickadee speedpaint I did, I'm really proud of it because it looks really cute and realistic, and it reminds me of how curious they can be @_@.

This is actually a picture for my comic. The book is a series of 384 pages and a big thing within it is birds (the chapters are named after birds). This is the sketch for one of the chapters. A lot of the birds in the story are fictional, since it takes place in a very different future, but they're intended to be realistic. But Mr. Raven here is just an ordinary Common Raven, well adapted for lots of changes... (an important part involves them identifying a subspecies of the raven to determine if an enemy is using a raven for communication instead of something more common like a pigeon)... but it's not all about bird watching... so I won't post it all.
But I'm posting the sketch to see if people think the proportions are okay. The pose was a little tricky so I want to make sure (the feathers don't have much detail really yet but I just put their general locations so I know where they go when I ink them). I'll post a finished copy too... I wonder if its okay to post the fictional birds as well...

Hey! It's comics and its birds!
I don't usually like to use backgrounds because I think it distracts from the focus... and I'm more used to drawing my comics...
