Can anyone shed any light on Japanese made Swallow Falcon De Lux 8x42 wide angle please?

The FOV is quoted as 9 degrees!! Seems phenomenal.

The Minolta 8x40 Standard MK is 9.5 degrees and there are wider binoculars.

Bresser Superwide 8.5x44 11 degrees. 7x32 13 degrees. 10x50 9 plus degrees.

Kronos 8x40 9 degrees.

Soviet special 8x30 13 degrees.

The Swallow mentioned above may state 9 degrees, but these specs are usually inflated.

There is nothing phenomenal here, except that modern binoculars often have small fields.

Regards,
B.
