Taxidermy - any ideas? (1 Viewer)

Thanks very much - I had actually found a picture of one of those and thought it was close but I hadn't appreciated how faded (or whatever the word is) it had become.

Hi Graham,
When speaking of life-mounts, or skin preparations, the commonly used term is "foxed", and the process is called "foxing" (= post-mortem color changes of both plumages, and of the soft parts).
