Thermal Imagers (1 Viewer)

Hello, sorry this isn't a binocular question, but this seems like the closest category.

I do a lot of owling, especially in tropical forests. I am interested in using a thermal imager to look for owls at night. I am planning on using an imager to see an owl that I have already heard singing from thick vegetation. My goal is to use the imager to pin point the owl, before using a flashlight to get a better view.

I am curious if thermal imagers work well at night in a warm climate?

I am also interested to hear specific recommendations of models of thermal imagers that you have used.

Many thanks in advance, Iain
