Thrush ID - Ukraine (1 Viewer)

Hello Petro,

welcome to Birdforum!

Its a juvenile Fieldfare imo. Please note:
  • the right colours (with sharp/evident demarcation): grey head, yellowish-buff breast and white belly
  • obvious suercilium, would be lacking in many (at least?) Mistle Thrush, which should show a paler rear end to the ear-coverts and many a dark vertical bar on the rear eyer-coverts
  • distinct dark loral area= the right head pattern of an adult Fieldfare is emerging

Juveniles of these two species are still not shown in the Svensson field guide edn 3 - shockingly bad. You have to go to (e.g.) BWP or Beaman and Madge's Handbook for them.
