Travel Shots for Panama (immunization) (1 Viewer)

i got travel shots for the first time i visited Panama. the Canadian Gov. recommends this before traveling to Panama. unfortunately the advice that was given to my family and the amount of shots we took seemed over-the-top. the other thing was that Panamanian Customs didn't seem to care whether we were immunized or not, which was not the advice we got.

do you have any advise on what to get before going to Panama. i am covered but i don't want my travel partner to make the same mistake. i want them to get the proper immunization.

what do you think?

thanks

If I was travelling to Panama I would make sure my hepatitis A; typhoid were up to date. I would assume that you would normally be covered for Tetanus and diphtheria anyway.

In the UK, our NHS advises considering yellow fever and rabies. I am covered for Yellow Fever otherwise I would have that as well. Not sure that I would bother with anti rabies though.
