My first Sand Martins of the year at #uptonwarrren Moors Pool this morning with 40+ being seen. LRP, 47 Avocet, 2 Oyks, 1 Curlew, 1 Lapwing, 13 Shelduck, 2 L Redpoll at the Flashes. First singing Blackcap at the Moors Pool as per G Hunt, 2 Med Gulls as per @gcorfield.bsky.social

Great stuff Gert.

Will need to check the detail of the 57 in June 2017 as to whether it included any fledged juveniles; this may be the highest ever count of adults.

Just hope it translates into a successful breeding season.

Three darvic-ringed BHGs at the Moors Pool this morning - EH12 (black on yellow); 24H0 (black on white) & 2ECF. The first two have been around the reserve since 8th March & 23rd March respectively and appear to be paired, whilst the last of the three is a new bird for the reserve; details & a picture are attached.
