Vole confusion, Dundee, Scotland. (2 Viewers)

Stonefaction

Dundee Birding....(target 150 in 2024).
Scotland
I've been photographing a Vole in a local park which appears to be the same individual (how long do they live?) and which I've previously ID-d rather tentatively as a Bank Vole. Yesterday, there was also a greyer and scruffier individual there too and possibly some interaction (a chase? - 2 x fast moving 'blur' seen between gaps under rocks) between the 2, as well as 2 Wood Mice. I'm looking for confirmation that my ID of Bank Vole for the 'usual' one (pics 1-4*), (I'm not sure if pics 5 & 6, whichever species it is, show either the 'usual' one, or the grey one in the last 2 pics and it is possible there were 3 voles yesterday) and Field Vole for the grey one (pics 7 & 8) is correct.

* The lack of prominent ears on pic 4 has me wondering if both/all are actually Field Voles - despite the other features that seem to point towards Bank rather than Field.

I'd say they are all Field Voles. Note the overgrown ears, small eyes, lack of rufous tones, and (to differentiate it from Common Vole) the eyes appearing to be closer to the tip of the nose than to the ears.
Not sure which other species you get there or if there are any visually distinct sspp. though.

Thanks, Sangahyando. Bank Vole was/is the other likely possibility (and my original ID) but since seeing the very grey one yesterday I've been less confident that my original ID was correct.

Only 3 species of vole are found in mainland Great Britain, the only place common vole Microtus arvalis is found is on the Orkney islands. The choices here are between field vole Microtus agrestis and bank vole Myodes glareolus. The other mainland vole is the water vole Arvicola amphibius.

I see, thanks. That does make it a bit easier. Here on the continent, we have all of those, plus (depending on where you are) Root Vole, Pine Vole, and/or a bunch of local species.
