Western or Semi-Palmated (1 Viewer)

I was recently birding at Parker River Nat'l Wildlife Sanctuary in Mass. When I came home and started looking through my images I came across this one. Is this a Semi-Palmated Sandpiper or a Western Sandpiper. I can upload bigger images if needed....

Thanx.

I would say it is western Sandpiper. It has quite a long bill (the loral distance ratio calculates to 2.8 from the picture) and the base of the bill is not as deep and heavy-set as it should be on semiplmated.

Cheers.
Doug.
