Yesterday i travelled to Workington on the west coast to see Storm Petrels, the info provided by BF members proved spot on, and i added to my life list a bird i had not seen before.

Today i did my patch and spent a few hours seawatching recording Manx shearwaters, Artic and Great skuas and would you believe it a Storm Petrel, i wonder if i had not enjoyed great views of this speceis yesterday would i have noticed it today.

I know its birding, but i still dont understand how it works ,im gratefull as hell but why after 20 years does this happen.

Puzzled but happy brian r.
