What laid these eggs? (1 Viewer)

Coming back from a trip, I found these eggs stuck on the patio door. These photos are not of the highest quality, but can someone tell what may have laid these eggs? One is taken facing the glass door, the other from a 45-degree angle to provide any sense of 3-D. Each is about pin-head sized. I live in metro-Boston, and the patio door faces west if that is of any value.

I'm wondering if I should "exterminate" these eggs before they hatch.
