Where to go on the Llanos Occidentales of COLOMBIA to do birding? (1 Viewer)

Most people do the Llanos by flying into Yopal and then visiting Hato La Aurora where you can stay at the Eco-lodge Juan Solito. I've been there twice and it is superb but very costly. Ecolodge Juan Solito Ecolodge Hato La Aurora Ecoturismo Colombia

Another option that a friend of mine did was Reservas de Altagracia/Buenaventura. I don't know much about them but I think they can be reached via Log in or sign up to view

Quite a few llanos birds can be found by just going down to Puerto Lopez (~6hr bus ride from Bogota). You can contact Elvis Felipe, a local guide in Villavicencio/Rancho Camana for more info Log in or sign up to view
