Whitethroat (1 Viewer)

Saw this in Swindon on 28th April, pretty sure it is a greater/common whitethroat but thought it might be a good idea to check (as lesser would be a lifer)
First I saw it in a bush and then it flew to the top of the tree, singing constantly (can't remember what the song was like though!)

Yes. Rufous on the wings. And lesser whitethroats don't sing constantly.

If you want to go looking for Lesser Whitethroat near Swindon, they have been reported within the last few days at Lydiard Park and at Blakehill Farm.
