Why does my Olympus SP-100 tell me it is busy after each shot ? Presumably I have adjusted something inappropriately.

It does this when it's writing to the card. It happened to me with my SP-550UZ for a while, then stopped.
I'm really not sure why. I don't use that camera now, as I've upgraded.

Did you change something about how the pictures are saved? for example switching from low to high quality jpg or from jpg to raw? If the size of what is being saved changes, the time for it will also change.
Or did you change to a different (slower) memory card in the camera?
All of this written without knowledge of your specific camera.
