Have just been to the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition. For each of the photographs there is a panel giving the details include the camera, lens, shutter settings etc. So I thought I would do a survey of the camera brands used. The results are...
Canon 28
Nikon 27
Sony 12
Hasselblad 6
Olympus 3
Leica 2
DJI 2
Panasonic 1
Fujifilm 1

The presence of "Hasselblad 6" might be the biggest surprise. Were those insect or other relatively small/close targets?

All the Hasselblad photos were taken from drones and from a variety of photographers so it must be a thing. Expensive camera mounted to what must be an expensive drone seems like an recipe for disaster!

Might be this DJI/Hasselblad drone using a 1'' sensor they use:

"The Hasselblad L1D-20c, a state-of-the-art aerial camera, sets a higher standard for aerial image quality.
With its powerful 20MP 1” sensor, it offers improved lowlight"
