Bananafishbones
Incoherently Rambling .....
Looks like the Savi's has gone.
Glad I made the effort yesterday 6am :t:
Looks like the Savi's has gone.
Couple of pics from yesterday;
Went for the Savis and managed a brief glimpse of the bird mid-reel. Probably saw it a number of times in flight as it zipped up and down the reed bed but un-idable (?) from that. Obviously heard it, got an audio recording.
Went on to Hatfield and got a picture for Keith, loads of Ringed Plover and a few Dunlin, a hepatic cuckoo was nice but crashed across the path and disappeared, would have liked a good look at that. Plenty of Yellow Wagtail and a single LRP. Four spot chaser and large red damselfly?
The Moorend carpark was closed, don't really like using it so perhaps for the better, went round to Crowle and saw Tree Pipit just along from the car park, lots of blackcap about.
The rain was getting steadier so decided to head home calling in at Blacktoft. 45 blackwit, lots of avocet nookie and gales.

No, didn't go to ten acre lake, you can'i walk round it so didn't bother.
Thought it was a permanent closure! Will try next time, thanks for that.
I just heard that a pair of Golden Eagles had started nesting near Tophill Low. And that they are now regularly seen accross Yorkshire. I am surely having my bells jangled here right?

I was meaning the avocet porn. Should post before wine, more coherent.
Off to watch aggressive avocets on springwatch and then off to bed, up at stupid o'clock and then going for some Black Woodpecker and Nutcracker. Who knows what else?
Here's that new thread Rob for the HB's
